Orthogonal TDM Using Optical Nyquist Pulses

Abstract

A new high-speed transmission technique using orthogonal time-division multiplexing with an optical Nyquist pulse train is presented. A substantial improvement in dispersion and PMD tolerance is demonstrated due to reduced signal bandwidth without sacrificing ISI.
