A Transport Model for Optical Tomography in Turbid Media

Abstract

A transport model for optical tomography in turbid media based on radiative transfer and cumulant approximation describes correctly photon migration at early times and reduces at long times to the diffusion approximation. It can conveniently replace the diffusion approximation.
