In-plane Fabry-Pérot cavities: versatile, compact and highly sensitive sensors

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

On chip in-plane Fabry-Pérot cavities are compact, robust and can be integrated with micro electro-mechanical components as well as microfuidics. They can efficiently sense acceleration, forces, gases, refractive index of liquids and living cells.
