Diffraction transformation of ultrashort pulses in subcycle regime

Abstract

Diffraction of ultrashort electromagnetic pulses results in deformation of the temporal waveform. The deformation is significant if the pulse duration is comparable to the period of the carrier wave. Effects of diffraction transformation in the sub-cycle regime will be presented.
