Seeing and Shaping the Microscopic World with Multiphoton Absorption

Abstract

Due to its nonlinear intensity dependence, multiphoton absorption can be used to observe, alter and create in three dimensions. We discuss applications in single-molecule detection and the analysis and patterning of chemical synthesis beads.
