Space–time control in ultrafast nano-optics

Abstract

The interaction of optimally polarization-shaped laser pulses with nanostructures allows simultaneous spatial and temporal control of electric fields below the diffraction limit. Simulations show that the localized nonlinear response can be scanned without mechanical movements.
