Femtosecond pump-probe measurements of solvation dynamics of hydrogen-bonding complexes in non-associating solvents

Abstract

We present an ultrafast pump-probe study of solvation of hydrogen-bonding complexes in nonassociating solvents. Additional sub-100 fs blue-shift was observed in HPTA-DMSO complexes over the solvation response of uncomplexed HPTA and that of its methoxy-derivative.
