Femtochemistry in the electronic groundstate: IR-Driven cis-trans isomerization of HONO

Abstract

The IR-driven cis-trans-isomerization of nitrous acid (HONO) is investigated. Quantum beats are observed which are discussed in terms of a common delocalized state connecting the cis and the trans configuration of the molecule.
