Abstract

The photoinduced dynamics of merocyanine dyes in solution and coupled to semiconductor nanoparticles have been investigated by transient absorption spectroscopy. Ultrafast triplet state formation observed for the uncoupled system is quenched for the merocyanine/TiO2 system.
