Femtosecond Microscopy of Surface Plasmon Propagation in a Silver Film

Abstract

Propagation of surface plasmon polariton (SPP) in a silver film launched by 10-fs, 400-nm pulsed light is imaged at 0.33-fs delay/frame rate. The dynamics of SPP are simulated based on SPP complex wave vector.
