Abstract

Time-resolved photoluminescence was performed on a coupled GaAs/AlGaAs asymmetric quantum well at room temperature. Spectral profiles at different biases show indirect transition between narrow well (NW)and wide well (WW). Temporal profiles obtained using streak camera reveal that non-resonant tunneling via acoustic phonons come into play at room temperature.
