Characterization of an Asynchronously Mode-locked Erbium-doped Fiber Laser operating at 10GHz

Abstract

We investigated the dynamic operation of an asynchronous mode-locking EDFL at 10GHz as a deviation from the synchronous regime. We observed that the soliton shifts the central wavelength speeding up to stabilize the asynchronous mode-locking.
