IR-Assisted Ionization of He+/He++ by Attosecond Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Radiation

Abstract

High harmonics, in form of attosecond pulse trains, are used to coherently excite He*/He*+ states just below the He+/He++ ionization threshold. IR-induced He+ yield shows evidence of sub-cycle modulation of atomic stark shift.
