Higgs Mode and Terahertz Nonlinear Optics in Superconductors

Abstract

By using intense terahertz pulses, we investigated the ultrafast coherent light-matter interaction of s-wave superconductors. We observed the Higgs amplitude mode and demonstrated the coherent terahertz nonlinear transient phenomena in superconductors.
