Numerical Characterization of an Acousto-Optic Ring Sensor for Measuring D-Glucose Concentrations

Abstract

A novel acousto-optical sensor design is numerically investigated using the 3-D finite element method. The acoustic wave interaction of an optical fiber and D-Glucose allow measuring fluid parameters using a simpler and lower cost device.
