Abstract
This paper proposes and discusses a fundamentally new approach to eliminating the poisonous action of carbon monoxide. A technology based on the phenomenon of laser-induced photodissociation of carboxyhemoglobin in the blood vessels and capillaries has been developed. The spectra of the action of carboxyhemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin in the cutaneous blood vessels are calculated by numerically modeling the interaction of laser radiation with biological tissue. Criteria are determined for the efficiency of the induced photodissociation of carboxyhemoglobin when the radiation acts directly on the pulmonary alveoli, through the epidermis, and intravenously.
