Efficiency of adaptive optics correction for Gaussian beams propagating through non-Kolmogorov turbulence

Abstract

In this paper we investigate theoretically the performance of adaptive-optics correction for Gaussian beams in weak non-Kolmogorov turbulence. Action of adaptive optics is modelled as removal of a certain number of Zernike modes from the aberrated wavefront.
