Abstract
A two-step method has been developed to obtain a diffuse-object hologram with high efficiency and low noise. In the first step a silver-halide gelatin hologram with high signal-to-noise ratio is obtained. In the second one, this hologram is copied onto dichromated gelatin using a partially coherent source. Results are compared with those obtained directly in dichromated gelatin using coherent light from an argon laser.
