Excimer-laser surface treatment of metals for improved adhesion

Abstract
Excimer-laser-induced ablation has been used to produce surface structuring of various metals. Such structuring contributed to a 5–15% enhancement of the bonding strength of these metals when a commercial adhesive was used.
