Moderate Resolution VUV Rocket Spectrograph

Not Accessible

Abstract

A moderate resolution rocket spectrograph is described for use in the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) spectral region from 1050 Å to 2000 Å. The spectrograph incorporates a Carruthers electronographic camera, a plane grating, and focusing optics to provide a well defined field of view for an extended atmospheric source. A detailed description of the spectrograph and sample spectra of the fourth positive band of CO from 1200 Å to 1800 Å are given.
