Abstract
The BRDF values of a special, striated gold sample at 10.6 and 118 μm were measured. For 118-μm radiation the values decrease from β − β0 = 0.1 to 1 for both orientations, but the vertical orientation of stria always produces a higher value. At 10.6 μm the horizontal orientation produces BRDF values that start at ~10−2 at 0.1 and decrease to ~5 × 10−4 at 1. The vertical orientation generates curves that are considerably higher.
