Abstract

In this paper we study the possibility of identifying the molecular sizes and the concentration ratio in binary mixtures of spherical macromolecules by measuring the second-order factorial moment n(2)(T) of laser light scattered by the sample. The errors in the determination of the parameters are obtained by using a computer simulation method. Previously the method of measuring n(2)(T), which minimizes the errors, is studied. The results are shown to be useful in the study of polydisperse bimodal solutions of spherical particles.
