Two-channel technique for Stark measurements of electron density within a laser-produced sodium plasma

Abstract

In this paper we have shown that time-resolved electron density measurements can be undertaken using a simple two-channel optical system to sample a Stark broadened emission line. The technique has been demonstrated in a sodium plasma produced by laser resonance saturation.
