Abstract

In this paper, we describe here the experimental results of TE-to-TM mode conversion in YIG magnetooptical waveguide by the alternating-coupling coefficient method, which is a reciprocal method for the Δβ reversal in electrooptic devices. We can obtain up to 93% conversion efficiency using this method, which is 75% in the case of the uniform coupling.
