Abstract

A brief account of the history of computed tomography is given showing why we conducted the first full meeting ever held on computed tomography and nuclear magnetic resonance imaging with an emphasis on industrial applications. This OSA Topical Meeting was held 13–14 Aug. 1984 at Hecla Island, Manitoba, in Canada.
