The designs of symmetrical dielectric reflectors containing
l layers of equal optical thickness in which the radiant reflectance of
m higher-order contiguous stopbands 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. are suppressed. The index of each outer layer is 1.38, and the center layer ** has an index of 2.25.

The radiant reflectance of the multilayer cited in
Table I with fifteen films iterated
p times as computed from
Eq. (1) [
R −
K] and an exact matrix theory [
