Standardization activities for optical disks in Japan

Abstract

The clear need to achieve a level of standardization for optical disks and the standardization organizations and activities in Japan are introduced. The results of the first ISO/TC97/SC23 Meeting in Tokyo are briefly introduced and discussed.
