Christiansen filters for the far ultraviolet: an old spectral device in a new light

Abstract

Tunable UV filters for the 230–370-nm spectral range are described. The design and measurements of bandwidth and transmission are communicated. For a filter centered at 250 nm the full halfwidth and transmission amount to 6.5 nm and 14%, respectively.
