Particle image velocimetry fringe visibility as a means of turbulence estimation

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

The visibility of particle image velocimetry fringes as a function of particle image size distribution, interrogating beam intensity profile, and particle displacement probability density function is discussed. Consideration is given to the likely accuracy of flow turbulence estimates obtained from experimental visibility curves.
