Design of a far-infrared and visible separation filter

Abstract
The selection and testing of coating materials that are suitable for both the far IR (in the 10-µm range) and visible regions are described. Using these materials, I show here the design concept and fabrication of a beam-splitting coating for separating two widely separated spectral regions.
