Theoretical Analysis of Radiative Heat Transfer in a Scattering Medium

Abstract

The problem of radiative heat transfer in a nonisothermal medium is considered. The analysis is carried out for plane parallel plates separated by an anisotropically scattering atmosphere. A usable solution is obtained by iteration of the set of equations that result from approximation of the radiative transport equation.
