These nine images captured by the MetOp-A low orbit satellite (issued from the EUMETSAT website) illustrate the variety of textures occurring in cloudy sky. A new point target detection algorithm is proposed by Genin et al, pp. 7701-7713 to enhance detection performance over these types of textures.
