Applied Optics Commemorative Reviews
In 2012, Applied Optics celebrated its 50th anniversary and commemorated the Journal's important contributions to the optics and photonics community. To help launch the next 50 years, we have invited some of the Journal's luminaries to write a review article on the topic of their choice. While some authors wrote technical reviews, others provided personal reflections and predictions for the field's future.
For your convenience, the reviews have been organized into 3 categories: interference, interferometry, and phase; imaging, optical processing, and telecommunications; and polarization and scattering.
