Applied Optics Commemorative Reviews

Last year, Applied Optics celebrated its 50th anniversary and commemorated the Journal's important contributions to the optics and photonics community. To help launch the next 50 years, we have invited some of the Journal's luminaries to write a review article on the topic of their choice. While some authors wrote technical reviews, others provided personal reflections and predictions for the field's future.

For your convenience, the reviews have been organized into 3 categories: interference, interferometry, and phase; imaging, optical processing, and telecommunications; and polarization and scattering.

Also, to ensure that everyone interested in reading these articles can do so regardless of whether they are a subscriber or not, OSA is providing FREE access to these articles for the next 60 days.
