Mass Spectra of Various Quinones and Polycyclic Ketones

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

The mass spectra of anthraquinone and 21 substituted anthraquinones have been obtained, together with those of three other quinones and two polycyclic ketones. The spectra are discussed both from the point of view of understanding the processes involved in the fragmentation of compounds containing keto groups and from that of being able to distinguish between various isomers and to identify unknown compounds in these classes.
