Abstract
The suitability of inductively coupled plasma quadrupole mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for the determination of Cr and V in biofluids and tissues has been studied. High-pressure thermal and moderatepressure microwave sample preparation with vapor-phase acid digestion successfully minimized blanks and carbon and chloride interferences. The remaining ArC 1 interferences on 52Cr were corrected mathematically. Analysis of standard reference materials verified the accuracy of the method.
