Abstract

Previously we reported that the OH torsions of alcohols and the NH2 torsions of primary amines give rise to intense characteristic bands in the low frequency infrared spectra of these molecules in dilute cyclohexane solutions. We now report the results of our studies of symmetrical aliphatic ethers in the liquid phase.
