Spectrochemical Determination of Mercury in Industrial Water at Submicrogram Levels with a Direct Current Arc

Abstract

The accurate determination of mercury at submicrogram levels has become important because of the discovery of dangerous levels of toxic mercury compounds in edible fish. The emission spectrographic method described in this paper was developed to measure mercury in industrial waste water as a basis for pollution control.
