Considering the current and projected rapid growth of the nuclear industry, development of techniques for analyzing radioactive materials must proceed at an equally rapid pace. One technique is x-ray diffraction. Two major difficulties are encountered in analysis of radioactive samples: personnel safety and instrumental effects due to sample radiation.
