Abstract

In this work a light beam composed of a series of periodically repeated pulses with a Lorentzian profile is studied by the use of a photon-counting multichannel analyzer and by the measurement of <i>n</i>(2)(<i>T</i><i>i</i>) (<i>i</i> = 1, 2, ..., <i>K</i>). The error in the determination of the width of the pulses is studied with the use of both methods and the results are compared.
