Abstract

A new design is presented for a fixed-trajectory, uniform-size-droplet generator. This droplet generator is useful in a variety of scientific studies, one of which is of solute atomization in analytical flames. The improved droplet generator provides more stable droplet production, production of droplets over a wider range of sizes, and easier operation than earlier designs. Fabrication details are provided and performance of the new device is assessed.
