Abstract

The spectral changes of a series of metal oxides, resulting from their oxidation of toluene, were studied by infrared emission spectroscopy. Comparative investigations were carried out with à grating spectrophotometer and with an interferometric Fourier transform spectrophotometer. The latter was found to be superior in the present kind of experiments.
