Abstract
A Raman imaging system has been used to investigate chemical and physical homogeneity in interstices of glass-reinforced composites. A protocol for monitoring chemical and physical spatial variations via multivariate statistics has been developed with the use of a simulated composite which provides a well-defined system of known chemical composition and curing conditions. Finally, a preliminary study of a "real world" glass-reinforced composite is presented.
