Biomedical Optics Feature Announcement

This series of feature issues will highlight topics presented at the 2012 OSA Biomedical Optics Topical Meeting:
- Biomedical Applications of Digital Holography
- BioNanophotonic and Molecular Probes
- Optical Microscopy Techniques
- Photoacoustic Imaging and Spectroscopy
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Optical Spectroscopy
- Optical Imaging and Tomography
The feature issues will be published in the journal Biomedical Optics Express, OSA's principal outlet serving the biomedical optics community featuring rapid, open-access publication of content related to optics, photonics and imaging in the life sciences. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that make use of the special features of Biomedical Optics Express and are particularly germane to biomedical content, such as inclusion of color figures, movies, and Interactive Science Publishing -- interactive presentation of 2D and 3D image data (see www.opticsinfobase.org/isp).
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the usual standards for submission to Biomedical Optics Express and must be uploaded through OSAs electronic-submission system (http://www.opticsinfobase.org/boe/journal/boe/author.cfm). When submitting, please specify that the manuscript is for the BIOMED 2012 feature issue. Please note that submissions to the feature issues incur the normal publication fees for Biomedical Optics Express. The fee is discounted for papers published in 2012.
