Exporting and saving citations to OSA journals and conferences

OSA now offers reference export to popular reference management software formats. Items selected from a table of contents page, abstract page, or search results in InfoBase or in an OSA online journal can be exported to BibTeX (see OSA guidelines for submitting LaTeX), RIS (see our templates page for EndNote style), Rich Text, or Plain Text format.

The "save to personal library" feature is also available for InfoBase users with login accounts.

DOIs

OSA partners with CrossRef to provide reference linking across multiple publishers. CrossRef uses a Digital Object Identifier (or DOI) system to link citations across publishers. Each DOI is associated with a set of basic metadata and a URL pointer to the full text, so that it uniquely identifies the content item and provides a persistent link to its location on the internet. OSA registered all published articles to CrossRef starting from 2004 to the present.

We are currently working towards registering all of the back issues of the OSA journals to CrossRef.

Deriving URLS for InfoBase Articles

URLs for OSA journals can be derived by appending [journal code] (see below) + [volume number] + [issue number] + [first page number] to a base URL:
