Citations in Optics InfoBase
Citation lists from articles in Optics InfoBase are displayed on the abstract page of each article, when available. Citations are free to the public for open-access articles (e.g., for Optics Express articles) and are a subsriber benefit otherwise.
Citation Links
The following links currently appear in OSA citation lists: (1) cross references to other InfoBase items, (2) forward links to other InfoBase items, (3) freeform URLs provided by authors, (4) DOI links (which appear as "[CrossRef]") resolved through the CrossRef service.
Citation Export
OSA now offers reference export to popular reference management software formats. Items selected from a table of contents page, abstract page, or search results in InfoBase or in an OSA online journal can be exported to BibTeX (see OSA guidelines for submitting LaTeX), RIS (see our templates page for EndNote style), Rich Text, or Plain Text format.
CrossRef, PubMed, Google Scholar, etc.
OSA participates with leading indexing organizations to make InfoBase content as "findable" as possible online. Moreover, all primary OSA journals are indexed by Thomson Scientific (fomerly Thomson ISI) and available through the Web of Science. Below are details on indexing status with some of our key partners:
| Indexing Partner | Content Indexed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CrossRef | OSA primary (nonpartnered) journals: 2004–present | We are working to deposit DOIs for back issues and to display DOIs on abstract pages. To determine whether a DOI exists for an OSA article, use the CrossRef Simple Text Query tool. |
| PubMed | Applied Optics, JOSA, JOSA A, and Optics Letters | Optics Express is currently under consideration for indexing in PubMed. |
| Google Scholar | All InfoBase content | The full text of all InfoBase content has been made available to Google Scholar for indexing. |
| AIP SPIN database | OSA primary (nonpartnered) journals | OSA articles are available in the AIP SPIN database and eligible for inclusion in AIP's Virtual Journals in Science and Technology. |
