Abstract

Today’s bandwidth explosion and increasing traffic demand point toward an all-optical network, which will have the speed and bandwidth to send more information to more people faster. Convening in Vienna, researchers at ONDM 2001 exchanged ideas on their recent progress in optical communication techniques and new technologies.
