Abstract

The results of a revision and extension of the analysis of Ne ii, based on wavelengths in selected ranges between 2500 and 10 150 Å, have been used to identify Ne ii lines in the vacuum ultraviolet and to extend the analysis.

In the 1994- to 1647-Å range, 47 lines have been newly classified, 6 were classified previously; only about 10 lines, which might belong to Ne ii, remain unclassified. The number of newly found levels is 29, belonging to (3P)5s and (1D)5s (7 levels), (3P) 4d(10 levels), (3P)7f (11 levels), and (3P2)8f (1 level).
