Test of a simple model for unsupported gold films

Abstract
As the homogeneous model is insufficient to explain the optical properties of unsupported gold films, an alternative model with surface films on either side of the main film was set up. The comparison between experimental results and theoretical calculations showed that this model was not consistent.
