  3. 3 The practical juxtaposition of their points of view might be assisted by placing a second and third series of cameras pointing upward and downward, receiving their light from semitransparent mirrors at 45° placed in front of the lenses of the first series.
  4. 4 Small, slow deviations from proper registration would have the effect of apparently slowly shifting the observer's position—such a shift introduced by moving the camera has been used purposely to give the illusion of relief in motion pictures.
  5. 5 Both of these defects of the parallax panoramagrams can be materially lessened if, instead of gratings consisting of opaque lines, a structure of parallel cylindrical lenses is used. This form of grating would be entirely feasible in the relatively large screen involved in motion picture projection.
