  1. Since the above was written, a still has been made using a Ward Leonard Electric Co. 500-ohm. "Vitrohm" resistance for the heating unit. The porcelain tube was 4″ long and ¾″ internal diameter. It can safely be connected to the ordinary lighting circuit and still further simplifies the construction of the apparatus.
